Learn from its woodwork and intricate painting techniques and be part of its conservation!
Nansalmaa Tserenchoimbol and family will guide you through a hands-on learning experience for you to become a master Mongolian dairy products. You will get to enjoy every step from getting the milk to the pressing and drying processes. Yogurt, cream, butter… she will show you how Mongolian people make them all!
Sambuu Urtnasan, grandfather of five, is a skilled artisan who makes traditional Mongolian games with bones and wood. This game and immersive experience offers a glimpse into Mongolia's cultural heritage and identity, where games play an important role in promoting creativity, critical thinking and important bonding time. During the class, you'll learn the rules and techniques of each game, play and see how they are made. As part of the experience, you have the option to make khorkhog, khuushuur and various other Mongolian traditional cuisine with Sambuu’s family.

You'll get to make your very own piece of Mongolian traditional jewelry to take home, with the help of Bayanjargal Dulamjav, a small business owner and a talented artisan. You'll choose from a variety of designs and styles, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings, each inspired by traditional Mongolian motifs and symbols. You will also be treated to delicious traditional snacks and beverages!

Ger, a nomadic felt-tent, perfected by thousands of years of nomadic life that fits into each of its pieces like a puzzle. You’ll learn the assembling and disassembling process of this portable dwelling, including seasonal variations, and become a master of the customs of living in the ger. This goes way beyond just how to build it, but will include the cultural, even spiritual significance of the design and placement of the ger.
