NEMUUN GAL

Nemuun is a Vice-Principal and Guidance Counselor at Hobby School of Ulaanbaatar - one of the preeminent independent schools in Mongolia. At Hobby he coaches some of Mongolia’s finest high school debaters and guides the high school students on their path to college.

Before switching to the education sector, Nemuun held the top in-house legal positions at SouthGobi Sands LLC - a leading Mongolian coal miner and Newcom Group - one of the largest investment companies in Mongolia. Nemuun also has over seven years of work experience with the Mongolian civil service. He worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and was posted as a diplomat with the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations in charge of political and legal affairs.

Nemuun holds law degrees from the MGIMO University in Moscow and the Columbia Law School in the City of New York (LL.M.). At Columbia, he was the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, Bretzfelder International Law Scholar for 2008-2009 and LL.M. Class Speaker ‘09. He is a member of the bar of the State of New York since June 2010.
