The architecture of the Ger Plug-In 3.0 is prefabricated and based on the most affordable traditional way to build a house while upgrading its performance to meet the challenges of its change from a nomadic to urban context.

Impact

The prototype was successfully tested with a local family, significantly improving their living conditions and reducing their dependency on coal. As a community partner, GerHub has been working to engage local governments and households in their research initiatives and the functionality of the space.

GerHub played a crucial role in the Ger Plug-In project by utilizing their expertise and adopting a holistic approach to community engagement. For every project that we collaborated
on, GerHub initiated various creative activities to engage the local residents. These activities were instrumental in achieving productive results, such as presenting proposals and getting
feedback from the residents, building capacity within the community, and getting buy-in from local leaders.”
